SSC CHSL Admit Card 2014 – The Staff Selection Commission is going to hold an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the Group-“C” posts of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices. The written test will be on November 2 and 9, 2014. The exam will comprise of a written objective type Examination followed by Data Entry Skill Test/Typing Test. Lots of candidates have applied and paid examination fee against this vacancy. The Admit Card of CHSL 2014 will be uploaded on commission’s zonal websites.

SSC CHSL Admit Card 2014:
The Written test admit card will be hosted on regional websites of ssc before 15 days prior to the exam date. Candidates can download their SSC LDC Admit Card 2014 by entering Registration ID and Examination City. Applicants who do not know their Registration Number have to enter their Name , Father’s Name , Date of Birth and Exam City to download SSC DEO Admit Card 2014. Procedure to download SSC LDC / DEO Admit Card / Hall Ticket/ Call Letter:
First of all candidates need to visit zonal website of  SSC.
Enter “Registration ID” and “Examination City”. OR
“Applicant Name “, “Father’s Name” and “Date of Birth” and click on “Search Admit Card”. After that your admit card containing details like examination date, venue, photograph will appear on screen. Take a print out of downloaded admit card.

Black money HSBC Bank list contains no big names, no big money,Black money: Switzerland reminds India of terms for sharing bank information

In a fresh threat to the flow of information about Indians holding accounts in foreign banks, Switzerland on Thursday said that information exchanged with India under its tax treaty can't be disclosed "in principle" to a court or any other body outside the proceedings of a "specific and relevant" case.

This Swiss clarification came a day after the government was ordered by the Supreme Court to hand over all the 627 names of Indian account holders in HSBC Bank, Geneva, forcing the government to opt out from the signing of an international treaty on exchange of financial information.

India's last minute withdrawal from the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement — which provides for automatic information exchange, starting 2017 — is bound to choke the flow of vital data to tax authorities and hinder attempts to act against unaccounted funds parked in overseas accounts. India can still sign the pact. Currently, it is awaiting clarity from the court.

 The list of 627 names provided by HSBC Bank, which also operates in India, does not have any big names connected to political parties or industrialists, government sources said on Wednesday.

The sources were also sceptical about recovery of huge amounts from the 350-odd Indians, who could face prosecution for allegedly stashing black money in foreign banks, as their account entries were too old and reflected relatively small deposits. The rest of the names in the list of 627 are non-resident Indians (NRIs) who cannot be proceeded against under Indian tax laws, they said.

The sources told TOI that most of the bank account entries were much before 2006 and generally were recorded from 1999 to 2004-05. One of the account entries dated to 1973 and is barred under law from being assessed for tax evasion, they said.

Congress demands resignation of Rajnath, Jung over Delhi's Trilokpuri violence

Congress on Monday demanded the resignation of home minister Rajnath Singh and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung over communal violence in Trilokpuri in East Delhi and alleged there was a systematic pattern and attempt to polarise ahead of possible assembly polls in Delhi. 

The party wanted an independent and impartial inquiry by a third party including by a retired judicial officer. 

"Congress party demands the resignation of the Union home minister and the Lt Governor for their inaction and soft attitude towards a serious situation in which the authorities had prior information", party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters. 

Giving a chronology of the incidents, he alleged Delhi Police followed its political masters and acted like mute spectators. 

Questioning the role of a BJP MLA in the entire incident, Singhvi alleged there are "credible" reports that the BJP leader had convened a meeting on Diwali night and troubled started only after that. 

"Tension between the two communities was brewing for the last one month and intelligence agencies had alerted the Home Ministry accordingly. Despite concrete intelligence, the callousness of the Home Ministry led to the situation going out of hand, leading to clashes," he said. 

Alleging that the inaction of Delhi Police during the violence in Trilokpuri is a repetition of various communal riots that have taken place in the country, he said such incidents are rising in poll-going states after BJP came to power. 

"Why this systematic pattern is being seen in so many parts of the country with montonous repetition in the last five months?" he said.

One in 6 female MIT students was sexually assaulted, survey shows

One in six female undergraduates at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has been sexually assaulted, though fewer than five per cent reported a sex crime, a survey by MIT showed, as pressure mounts for US campuses to curb sexual violence.

Five per cent of female undergraduates said they had been raped and one in five knew a perpetrator of unwanted sexual behavior, according to the poll, which yielded a total response rate of 35 per cent from undergraduate and graduate students.

"Sexual assault violates our core MIT values. It has no place here," MIT president Rafael Reif wrote in a campus email on Monday accompanying the survey results.

MIT, which urged all its students to take the survey on attitudes towards sexual assault earlier this year, is one of the first US schools to release wide-ranging data on sex crimes on campus.

The poll was released amid growing pressure across the United States from lawmakers, activists and students to clamp down on sexual assaults on campuses and to reform investigations after allegations are made.

The White House has declared sex crimes to be "epidemic" on US college campuses, with one in five students falling victim to sex assault during their college years.

The survey also asked students about how widely unwanted sexual behavior occurs on campus, and how likely victims were to discuss it with friends or others.

"We are interested in learning about the problem, measuring it and solving it," MIT chancellor Cynthia Barnhart said on a teleconference call with reporters.

She said the school was expanding prevention and education efforts as it continued to mine the data, and that it planned to conduct follow-up surveys.

According to the poll, nearly two-thirds of respondents who had encountered an unwanted sexual experience said they had told someone about it, but less than five per cent reported the incident to an official.

Barnhart said only a small number of sexual assaults were reported at MIT and that the school was adding new resources to help students who had experienced an assault.

Over the past few months, more incidents have been reported, she said, noting that raising awareness about the problem was paying off.

MIT began taking steps after an alumna wrote anonymously in the student newspaper, saying she had been raped on campus.

Black money list: Centre discloses 3 account holders, says no intention to hold back more names,Black money: Govt discloses 3 names to SC, says no intention to withhold information

The names of Pradip Burman of Dabur, Rajkot-based bullion trader Pankaj Chalamanlal Lodhia and Goa-based mining baron Radha Timloo were disclosed by the Centre on Monday in an affidavit submitted before the Supreme Court on Indians holding illegal bank accounts abroad.

According to reports on Monday, other Indians being investigated for allegedly stashing black money in foreign banks include four from the Congress. Among them is a former minister in Manmohan Singh's government who lost the Lok Sabha election in May.

There were murmurs of protest within the ruling BJP that not disclosing names would hurt the party's image after it had made bringing back black money, a key issue in a general election that it won by a landslide. The Centre's stand also drew a strong response from the Congress, which accused it of hypocrisy.

Turning the tables on the Congress, finance minister Arun Jaitley had recently said the disclosing of names of people holding black money accounts will embarrass the opposition party.

The Congress had hit back, daring the government to come out with complete information without indulging in "selective leaks" and pointing out that "the Congress is not going to be blackmailed under any such threat.
